Who is it for?
The Graduate Program in Veterinary Hygiene and Technological Processing of POAO (PPGHIGVET) is aimed at professionals from different areas, including not only veterinarians, but also zootechnicians, agronomists, food technologists and engineers, chemical engineers, pharmacists, biologists, chemists, nutritionists, and specialists in related areas. The program seeks to attract professionals interested in deepening their knowledge and developing skills in the areas of inspection, hygiene, and technological processing of products of animal origin.
Mission
The Graduate Program in Veterinary Hygiene and Technological Processing of POAO (PPGHIGVET) has the mission of training highly qualified researchers, teachers, and
professionals, promoting the generation of knowledge and innovation in the areas of
Inspection, Hygiene, and Technological Processing of Products of Animal Origin. The
program seeks to meet national and international demands, contributing to the
advancement of science, technological development, and the improvement of society’s
quality of life.
PPGHIGVET is committed to training ethical and socially responsible professionals,
training its students and graduates through the development of innovative projects,
products, and processes, for constructive action with sustainable solutions that meet the
challenges of the sector.
Additionally, the program plays a fundamental role in raising the quality of stricto sensu
graduate education in Brazil, training masters and doctors capable of generating and
disseminating scientific and technological knowledge., promoting social, economic, and
environmental development in the short and long-term, and strengthening its relevance
in the academic and professional scenario.
